Braised Celery
Braised celery is such a simple and delicious dish! If you are someone that isn't a fan of celery normally, then we reckon you need to give this a go! If you want to elevate things even more you can pop some garlic into the mix too.
The recipe has just 5 ingredients, including salt and pepper; making this a super easy dish to whip up in no time at all!
- 12 stalks of celery
- 2 tablespoon butter
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ¾ cup veggie stock
-
Wash the celery then top and tail it, keep some leaves for garnish later!
-
Cut your celery into diagonal 1 inch chunks
-
Melt the butter in a heavy based pan (one that has a lid)
-
Add the celery, salt and pepper, then sauté gently for 5 minutes until it has started to soften
-
Add the stock and bring to a simmer
-
Cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes
-
Remove the lid and cook for a further 5 minutes so the liquid can evaporate
-
Serve, and you can garnish with those leaves that you kept earlier
